OBE C-100 ENCODER / DECODER

The OBE C-100 app provides a cost-effective choice for delivering low-latency contribution services over IP networks with no distinction between encoder and decoder, reducing the required hardware. Encoding a wide range of contribution services globally and powered by the award-winning x264 encoder, OBE is proven to deliver both high quality and low-latency with a significantly lower overall cost than competitors. The C-100 app is available as a pure software solution for IT-centric deployments or as appliances for more traditional setups. Multiple feeds can be encoded or decoded on a single server, including blade servers, allowing for very high-density deployments. As a software solution there are very few hardware or chassis requirements, allowing customers to select their own hardware from existing or recommended suppliers. This allows for a highly individualised power usage and server density to be targeted.

OBE C-200 ENCODER / DECODER

The C-200 is the platform that proves software can be used to deliver premium broadcast content without breaking the bank. Already delivering ultra-high value content to millions around the globe, in pristine quality and the lowest end-to-end latency in its class. As with all OBE products the C-200 platform is available as pure software for IT-centric deployments or as appliances for more traditional use-cases, all at a fraction of the cost of existing equipment, making the most of the savings provided by commodity equipment. The C200 Decoder is capable of decoding MPEG-TS to 2022-6 and 2110 Uncompressed IP, using software running on commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) hardware. High Density decoding with eight decoders in 1U also means major reductions in space. The C-200 leads to drastic reductions in cost for remote-productions, allowing the quality/latency/bitrate configuration to be altered depending on the use-case with bitrates ranging from 1 to 150 Mbps.

OBE D-100 ENCODER

The Open Broadcast Encoder (OBE) D-100 platform provides a cost-effective choice for broadcasters and operators to deliver SD and HD MPEG-4/AVC services on Satellite, Cable, Terrestrial and IPTV platforms. Encoding a wide range of channels globally, from lower-end channels to well-known premium channels, OBE is proven to deliver pristine-quality broadcast encoding, powered by the award-winning x264 encoder with a significantly lower overall cost base compared to competitors. With OBE’s software platform, there are no restrictions on encoder chassis, allowing customers to decide on encoder density and power usage. Multiple channels can be encoded on a single server, including blade servers, allowing for very high-density encoding. The OBE D-100 platform has a modern web interface allowing easy management of the encoder whilst at the same providing SNMP access for integration with existing network management systems.

STREAMLANE

The STREAMLANE platform from PROLANE enables IP delivery. It supports the Reliable Internet Stream Transport (RIST) protocol and includes playout as well as encoders and decoders. Using this platform, PROLANE is able to deliver video signals captured from its client and deliver it to any destination desired, including to telco partners.
