Agenda Overview

CABSAT AFRICA PROGRAM
HALL 6

The economic potential of the film and audiovisual sectors remains largely untapped across Africa, accounting for US$5 billion in revenues in Africa and employing 5 million people. According to a research report, growth of 35.7% is predicted in the region’s television and video market between 2018 and 2023. The biggest driver will be Sub-Saharan Africa with 6.7% annual growth. The content demand varies per country in Africa, universally - a strong interest in locally produced content.
