Bloomberg rebrands Africa show as ‘Next Africa’

Bloomberg Television has rebranded its monthly Africa-focused show as Next Africa, unifying its television, podcast and newsletter content under one name to provide comprehensive news and analysis on finance, business and key developments across the continent. Previously known as Africa Amplified, the revamped programme aims to offer deeper insights into Africa’s evolving economic landscape.

Anchored by Jennifer Zabasajja, Bloomberg Television’s Chief Africa Correspondent, Next Africa will broadcast live from Bloomberg’s Johannesburg studio, featuring on-the-ground reporting from Johannesburg, Kigali and Lagos. The show will air on the fourth Friday of every month, with its first episode under the new brand launching on February 28.

Zabasajja also contributes to Bloomberg Horizons Middle East and Africa, a regional morning show anchored by Joumanna Bercetche from Dubai, which airs daily in the UAE.

Egypt’s Commercial International Bank (CIB) has signed on as the exclusive sponsor of Next Africa across TV, podcast, newsletter, digital and social platforms. The programme will be streamed live on Bloomberg.com and accessible to Bloomberg Terminal subscribers worldwide. Additionally, it will be available locally on MultiChoice, AVO TV and Discover Digital.

With access to Bloomberg’s global network of over 3,000 journalists and analysts, Next Africa promises to deliver authoritative coverage of the forces shaping Africa’s future.
