Mufeed Co. said its subsidiary, Tarkeez for Audio-visual Media Production (IFOCUS), signed, on Feb. 20, a three-year memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Saudi Broadcasting Authority's (SBA) Sayma platform, according to a statement to Tadawul.
The agreement aims to enable IFOCUS to distribute its content via Sayma, a platform dedicated to preserving and investing in media and television content.
The relevant financial impact will be revealed in due course, the statement said, adding that the deal included no related parties.
The Sayma is a leading digital platform that allows all entities to manage and showcase their high-quality media content, including video and audio content, as well as historical archives. This ensures the protection of intellectual property rights and enhances the utilization of media content.
The agreement marks a significant step toward building a comprehensive digital media ecosystem, opening new avenues for investing in Saudi media archives and transforming them into digital content that can be used in innovative and sustainable ways.
The MoU was signed at the Saudi Media Forum, a major gathering of decision-makers and experts in the media industry.
The forum's sessions and workshops addressed key digital trends, future challenges, and investment opportunities in the media sector, paving the way for more strategic partnerships to support digital transformation in the media landscape.
